[RESOLVED] Possible bug relating to switching between Expression pedals

Hey all, I'm having a strange issue that I think might be a bug, but it's also possible I'm overlooking something in my button configuration.

I have 4 pedals that I control with MIDI CC's: two HX One's, an eventide H9, and a MIDI-modded Pitchfork. I use IA buttons to switch between expression pedal Stored Settings so that I can select which one is being controlled on each preset. The strange thing is, when I have ExpPedal setting 0 active, it's sending CCs to both of my HX Ones. Every other setting properly targets the single pedal it's supposed to be controlling. In terms of the configuration, 0 isn't any different from 1, 2, or 3, they all target one single MIDI device. But sure enough, every time 0 is selected, I see this bug.

I'm attaching my settings just in case but I'm only using the buttons in Group 11 to switch between ExpPedal settings, so it's not obvious to me that it's a configuration issue.

I'm on firmware version 5.3.2 IIRC.

Thanks in advance!

Marking this as resolved because I confirmed that the issue is with one of my HX Ones responding to messages sent on a different channel... weird!

Thanks for letting us know! I was scratching my head over this one, glad to hear it you figured it out!

Sorry for the confusion, I reached a premature conclusion based on the fact that the HX One is only responding to errant CC messages across all channels, but only when ExpPedal 0 is active... which is such an unusual bug that I assumed it was my configuration at first. But according the MIDI Monitor, the correct CCs are being sent regardless.

Seems to be a serious issue with my HXOne but it's not obvious to me what it could be.

Try updating the firmware on the HX One, I think there may have been a related bug in early releases. I seem to remember updating mine.

It's getting even weirder; I'm on the latest firmware... but I was MIDI daisy chaining the errant HX One after my Boss OD-200. And despite MIDI Monitor registering the EXACT same information, the HX One doesn't behave badly when I move it to a direct connection to my Mastermind.

So strange. Guess I'll need to build another MIDI cable but at least this solves my issues...

Make sure the OD-200 isn't set up to send MIDI. There may be options to transmit PCs and/or CCs in its setup menu.

Yessir, and as far as the settings were concerned, it was set up correctly. I think...

According to MIDI Monitor at least, no additional CCs were being sent compared to going direct.
