whelp, I couldn’t wait. Fired up the rig on lunch. Connecting direct, X88-IR responds to preset changes just fine. Re-introducing one at a time, finally found the culprit. The Walrus M1 is dropping the signal. With everything else, the X88-IR responds perfectly to MM LT preset changes. Time for Walrus t-shoot next.
TLDR For those playing the home game:
MM LT could change X88-IR presets consistently via dedicated buttons, but not MM LT presets (intermittent at best). After a successful direct test from MM LT -> X88-IR, I added the midi signal path back one at a time until failure and isolation.
